Former Australian speedster Brett Lee congratulated young Arjun Tendulkar for handling the pressure very well against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday. The 23-year-old bowled a brilliant final over to help the five-time champions register their third victory in the league stage.

Arjun Tendulkar successfully defended 20 runs in the last over against Abdul Samad and Bhuvneshwar Kumar on the bigger stage.

Speaking about Arjun’s brilliance, Brett Lee said that the youngster bowled exceptionally well and added that he would have gained a lot of positivity from bowling in high-pressure situations and reckoned that it would help him grow from strength to strength

“He handled the pressure beautifully. To give away just 4-5 runs in that last over, getting his first wicket in IPL. Congratulations to him but I had said before that happening, no matter what happened at the end, that experience of him bowling in the death – I’m hoping it’s a positive one – would just take his game from strength to strength,”  Brett Lee said.

The 23-year-old has been a part of MI for a couple of seasons but hasn’t gotten a chance to represent the franchise as the team was loaded with experienced pacers in the team. The Youngster held his nerves in the final over against Sunrisers Hyderabad to concede only five runs and picked his maiden wicket in the cash-rich league.

He Spoke Well And His Game Is Only Going To Improve – Brett Lee

Former Australian cricketer Brett Lee lauded Arjun Tendulkar for his calm and composed bowling in the final over as he executed the wide yorkers to perfection making it difficult for batters to hit boundaries and feels that Arjun Tendulkar would improve in the forthcoming games.

“He tried to nail that wide-line yorker and he did it very well. It’s hard coming in, playing only his 2nd match, he was under pressure with the whole team relying on him… he honed himself impeccably, he spoke well and his game is only going to improve,” Brett Lee added.

Arjun Tendulkar had a good domestic outing with Goa in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and carried his form in the IPL. It looks like Mumbai Indians unearthed a new pacer in the form of Arjun Tendulkar, who is capable of bowling with the new ball and the final overs and they will look to maintain his form for the side.

Mumbai Indians have won three games in a row after facing back-to-back defeats in the first two games they played, for their sixth game in the season Rohit Sharma-led side will take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) on April 22 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
