Former CSK Stalwart Suresh Raina expressed his delight for the four-time champions Chennai Super Kings reaching the playoffs in this edition of the Indian Premier League. The MS Dhoni-led side qualified for the playoffs for a record 12 times in the cash-rich league.
Chennai Super Kings have qualified for the IPL 2023 playoffs following their thumping 77-run victory against Delhi Capitals in Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday. The four-time champions produced an all-around performance to make it into the top 2 of the points table.

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway were the standout performers for the side of the visitors. The two put the DC unit on the back foot from the onset and added 141 runs for the opening wicket and on the way was the highest run-getter with 87 runs off 52 balls, Gaikwad was brilliant at his 50-ball 79.
On the bowling, The CSK bowlers, led by Deepak Chahar claimed the second consecutive three-wicket haul, and all bowlers chipped to pick crucial wickets for their side at regular intervals. Although David Warner tried his best and scored 86 off 58 he found no support from the other side ending the disastrous campaign on a low note.

Chennai Super Kings MS Dhoni revealed that is no recipe for success, as the team tries to groom the youngsters giving them must need backing in the team, and reckons that the tea management and support staff has to do a great job behind the scenes to help the players get ready for the matches.
“Well, I think there is no recipe, Pick the best players and see how they perform. Groom them where they are strong and work on those areas. The management and support staff have been great and everything coming together is important,” MS Dhoni said after the game.
Chennai Super Kings will return to their home stadium to take on the defending champions Gujarat Titans in qualifier 1, as their home conditions would give them the best chances to qualify for the final of the IPL 2023. MS Dhoni-led side has been the team to beat in the home conditions as the CSK teams have better players of spin bowling in the league.
