Indian ace spinner Yuzvendra Chahal said that was happy for the Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni for winning his 5th IPL title in the cash-rich league, as the whole country wanted the Indian legend to lift the trophy for his side.
Chennai Super Kings have now become only the second team after Mumbai Indians to win the IPL five times. Dhoni has also become only the second captain after Rohit Sharma to lead a team to five IPL titles, as the Indian veteran led the team outstandingly well to win the title against Gujarat Titans in a rain-curtailed game.
Speaking to News18 CricketNext, Yuzvendra Chahal revealed that he was emotional during the Chennai Super Kings title win against Gujarat Titans, as the entire nation wanted to see MS Dhoni lifting the trophy once again in the cash-rich league and hailed CSK match-winner Ravindra Jadeja as a complete all-rounder in the International Cricket.
“Definitely, it was an emotional moment. Not only me, but the whole of India wanted him to win. And it’s a good thing and I’m really happy to see that. He is a legend and the way he is, if CSK would have defeated us in the final, I would have been equally happy for him”.
“He is the number one all-rounder in the world. The way he has made his comeback is brilliant. He was injured and then he came back. It’s just tremendous. He is the greatest fielder. He bats at 7, bowls as well. He is a complete all-rounder”. Yuzvendra Chahal said

The Rajasthan Royals opener has scored 625 runs in 14 matches at an average of 48.08 as he hit one century and 5 fifties this season including a 13-ball fifty that is the fastest half-century in the history of the IPL.
“He is a brilliant talent. I knew him before as well but closely watched him in the Rajasthan Royals squad. He has got a lot of potential and is a hard-working guy. The best thing is that the youngster has a lot of hunger to score runs and learn as much as he can.
“I think him, Rinku Singh, Dhruv Jurel, Tilak Varma, they are very good and I’m so happy for them and it’s great to see the kind of hard work they put in at this level,” Yuzvendra Chahal added.
