MS Dhoni was in a jovial mood when he walked out for toss as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) faced off against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on May 3 in their IPL 2023 encounter at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.
Chennai Super Kings are at the no.4 spot and LSG are no.3 despite losing their last game to Royal Challengers Bangalore by 18 runs. Not only did they lose the game, but they also lost the services of their captain KL Rahul who injured his hip and is now under evaluation by the BCCI medical team.
Krunal Pandya was named LSG captain for the rest of the IPL 2023 and he came out to toss with Dhoni.
MS Dhoni won the toss and chose to bowl first keeping the overcast condition in mind. He also revealed that Deepak Chahar was fit and included in the XI. On the other hand, Krunal Pandya revealed that LSG had also made a few changes, as Manan Vohra, Karan Sharma, and Mohsin Khan came into the team.

Meanwhile, after MS Dhoni won the toss, presenter Danny Morrison talked about it being his last season and how he was enjoying it. To which, the CSK captain gave a broad smile and gave a suspenseful answer.
Danny Morrison asked,” how you’re enjoying your last season.”
“You’ve decided that it’s my last season, not me,” Dhoni replied with a laugh.
