“We go back to Delhi in front of our home crowd. I know it’s a batting wicket. The last time, I was there in Delhi back in 2011, it was low and slow. Now, I saw a bit of green grass on that surface. There will be a bit of dew in the night. If we can get an all-round good wicket, it would be fantastic,” David Warner said.

Sunil Gavaskar who is currently part of Star Sports for the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League took a sly dig at David Warner’s performance in the BGT 2023.
“David last time you were there in Delhi in 2011-12? You were there last month!” Sunil Gavaskar asked
David Warner was quick to respond that it was a different format and different pitch and he wants to focus on the upcoming matches for his team. Delhi Capitals will hope their batters step up in the second match in their home conditions.
New Rules Will Need Some Time To Ace It – Sunil Gavaskar
Sunil Gavaskar feels the new rules in IPL 2023 will take some time to acclimatize, as it will provide even contest to all the teams. Ahead of the 16th edition, BCCI introduced an impact rule where one player in the playing 11 can be changed during the stipulated time frame.
“You need some time to understand new rules and acclimatise with new playing conditions. The same will be the case with all ten teams in the IPL 2023. They will need some time to ace it,” Sunil Gavaskar told Star Sports.
The Impact Player rule has the potential to decide the fate of the match–and it has started to make the IPL even more interesting.
