The only player to be retained by Kings XI Punjab ahead of IPL 2018 auction, Axar was a part of Mumbai Indians in IPL 2013. He didn’t get a chance to make his debut and was released ahead of the mega-auction. Axar was bought by Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2014 auction and his superlative performances saw him getting selected in the national team even before the final of the league.
