Kolkata Knight Riders, IPL 2019

Even before playing the U-19 World Cup in 2014, Kuldeep had an experience of being a part of an IPL team as he was picked by Mumbai Indians for IPL 2012. Although, he remained uncapped. Kuldeep made his IPL comeback with Kolkata Knight Riders in 2014 but again, did not get a chance. He finally made his IPL debut in 2016 and has been with the team since then.

The franchise released him ahead of IPL 2018 auction but bought him back by the use of RTM card for Rs. 5.8 Crore. The franchise released Piyush Chawla ahead of IPL 2020 auction but kept faith in Kuldeep and retained him. He is now one of the biggest names in Indian cricket but hardly anyone knows that he was a part of Mumbai Indians once.
