The Mumbai-based franchise is one of the most successful team in IPL. They have won the 2015 edition and defunct Champions league T20 (CLT20).

The franchise could not play many matches in Maharashtra due to drought and failed to qualify for the playoff. But that didn’t affect their fan following. The Indian opener and some of the international players presence made them India’ second most followed team in IPL.

And a high-profile coaching team comprised of Jonty Rhodes, Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting is the reason of fan following.
