Kings X11 Punjab will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in the final of the IPL7. This is the first time Kings X11 has reached the finals whereas Kolkata KnightRiders have made it in the 5th edition , when they went on to win the title. The match will be played at Chinnaswamy Stadium Bangalore at around 8pm IST.
The pitch here is expected to be a batting paradise and a run feast can be expected here. With both the teams having a powerful batting line up, the spectators will get to see a lot of the balls clearing the ropes.
Both the teams will rely on their batting and especially their opening combination to fire at the start as the openers have recently provided a good start. Also , the finishers have done it well for Kings X11 , Bailey and Miller, whereas Shakib and Surya Kumar Yadav for KKR. Uthappa has been in fine form for KKR and Sehwag looked dashing in their previous match.
Kings X11 Punjab has not been very good with the bowl after the slump in form of Sandeep Sharma and it can be a weak link on a batting paradise. For, KKR bowling doesn’t seem to be a big worry, as they have a better balance after Narine decided to stay back for his franchise.
Kings X11 Punjab may well go with the same side but KKR is expected to bring Vinay Kumar in place of PIyush Chawla, simply because the pitch won’t support spin bowling and Vinay Kunar, being the local guy will have a better knowledge of the pitch.
For Kings X11 Punjab, Sehwag and Miller will hold the key and Manan Vohra will play a key role in taking off the pressure from Sehwag in the initial part of the innings. After his previous match exploits, expectations from Sehwag is at the peak.
For KKR, Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa will hold the key to provide them with a strong start. Narine’s steady spell wil hold a key too and Shakib’s all round show has been a major boost for KKR.
All in all, this game is evenly poised before the start of it and the team who plays well on the given day will take the cake away.
