It was the first game at Eden Gardens, Kolkata between Kolkata Knight Riders Vs. Chennai Super Kings. KKR had the advantage right from the time of the toss as there were 70,000 people in the crowd backing them up. It was a brilliant match and the crowd witnessed the home side getting victorious. There were a number of ups and downs in the game with respect to the players from both the teams. Here is the list of the HITS and FLOPS of the game:

FLOPS Of The Match

Piyush Chawla (KKR): The Indian leg spinner did not have his day tonight. He struggled in his bowling and CSK batsmen played him with sheer ease. He gave away 42 runs in his 4 overs which was very much expensive for the team. He managed to take only a single wicket.

Ben Hilfenhaus (CSK): The speedster from CSK disappointed with his performance. He did not able to keep things tight in the initial overs and gave away boundaries. He was very expensive in his overs and gave away 38 runs in his 3 overs and managed to bowl only 4 dot balls.

Mohit Sharma (CSK): The promising pacer from CSK also disappointed with his performance today. He went for plenty of runs in the initial overs and Robin Uthappa thrashed him for boundaries. He gave 28 runs in his 3 overs and failed to get a wicket for his team.

Dwayne Smith (CSK): The opener for CSK, who at presently stand 2nd in the run for Orange Cup, got dismissed very early. He was dismissed in the 2nd over of the innings which led CSK to be in the backfoot right from the start. He managed to score just 5 runs off 6 deliveries.

HITS Of The Match

Suresh Raina (CSK): For yet another time in a row, Suresh Raina played a concrete innings for the CSK. CSK lost Dwayne Smith at the beginning and needed someone to settle down at the crease. Suresh Raina, as obvious, was the man for them. He played a brilliant knock of 65 runs off 52 deliveries with 3 fours and 5 sixes.

Robin Uthappa (KKR): It was for yet another time that ROBIN came to KKR’s rescue. His fiery innings at the start made the job easy for the rest of the line up and due to his aggressive batting, the required run rate of KKR came down by a considerable extent. He scored 67 runs off 39 deliveries with 10 fours and a six. He did have his share of luck today as he was dropped for a few times but it is said that Luck favours the brave and that is what has happened. He was adjourned as the Man Of the Match.

Shakib Al Hasan (CSK): The all-rounder from Bangladesh did play his part tonight and made an all-round impact in the game. He bowled economically and with the bat he won the game for his side. He played a blistering innings at the deck and gave CSK no chance to get back in the game. He scored an unbeaten knock of 46 runs off 21 deliveries with 6 fours and 2 sixes.
