HITS for Mumbai :-
Mike Hussey – It was Lendl Simmons who gave Mumbai a flying start in the last match so this time Hussey puts on the accelerator and Mumbai are off to a attacking start. The duo added 65 runs in the power play. He departed after a wel played 56 off 33 balls.
Lendl Simmons – Seems like Mumbai got a perfect opener now. After a brilliant century in the previous match he continued his form and made a 35 from 25 balls. He played as the second fidel with Mike Hussey. After Hammering Tahir for 16 runs in an over he holed out a catch and got out.
Rohit Sharma – This man has contributed In past and continued to contribute for Mumbai. He kept the momentum that the openers have and made a quick fire 30 in 21 balls.
Harbhajan Singh – Bowled excellently in spell and the all important wicket of KP who was looking dangerous. He gave just 16 runs in his first 3 overs but went for 14 runs in tha last spell. Overall a good performance.
LOWS :-
The Mumbai Middle and Lower Order- After such a great start by the top 3 batsmen Mumbai should have crossed 200 by ease. But the Middle order dissapointed and the last 8 batsmen added just 43 runs finally getting bowled out for 173 with 3 balls to spare.
Delhi Daredevils :–
Hits-
Imran Tahir– He might have gone gor 37 runs but comeback brilliantly to pick three Crucial wickets and bowling out Mumbai Indians. The bulk of runs he gave was in his initial overs where Lendl Simmons hit him for 16 runs.
Manoj Tiwary– This guy just proved how much talent he has in him. A a point Delhi were going nowhere whem they lost three quick wickets. He gave some oxygen to the Delhi camp where Delhi made it target closer to reach and eventually got out in 19th over. A valiant 41 off 31.
Kevin Pietersen– Atlast KP got into form although he struggled for his 44 having got 2 chances still the firing opening start was positive show from Delhi. He struggled as soon as the powerplay got over and got out while trying for a switch-hit!
JP Duminy– One of the best hitters in t20, he yet again proved that he can chase any target. But Delhi had other plans sending JP at no.5 and handed over the match. He made 45 coming very late and almost chased down the target but felt short by 15 runs thanks to excellent death over bowling by Mumbai seamers.
LOWS-
Dinesh Karthik– He should have stayed at the wicket but lack of getting runs made him to play Scoop and eventually hot castled by De Lange. His form in this IPL has been a concern for Delhi.
Delhi Bowlers – The bowlers yet again let Delhi down by conceding at a rate of 10 in the first 13 overs. It was due to Mumbai’s lower order which helped the Delhi bowlers to bowl them out. None of the bowlers went less than 7 runs an over. Although they grabbed wickets in clusters.
