The last league match for both Kolkata Knight Riders And Sunrisers Hyderabad. KKR wants to win it anyway as they need to finish in the top 2 for a better chance to go to the finals. Whereas Sunrisers have almost been knocked out wants to end the year on a high note. KKR goes to field first which means they need to chase the target within 15.2 overs to go to number 2. Earlier CSK won comfortably which made the task more tougher for KKR.
SUNRISERS HYDERABAD: –
Hits
Darren Sammy– Struggling with form this man somehow managed to score some runs and also hit two massive sixes. Although he was dropped twice and hurt his leg while batting which makes him unavaulable to bowl in the second innings. He scored a quick fire 29 off 19 balls.
Karan Sharma– He wasn’t spared by Yusuf’s blasting but still managed to get 4 wickets including Yusuf Pathan. To be honest he took the top 4 batsmen out of total 6 wickets that had fallen and that is an interesting achievement. He was the only stand out bowler that got something from the match for Sunrisers.
Lows
Dale Steyn – He simply wants to forget this match. Started brilliantly in the opening spell, but his last over went for 26 runs where Yusuf Pathan did all the damage. He went for sixes in that over. A bowler of his calibre goes for 43 runs in 4 overs is something extremely expensive. He will be unhappy to end the season in such a manner. Earlier he hammered by MS Dhoni and Ab De Villiers in similar fashion.
Jason Holder– Playing his only IPL match this year he started with two no balls and then went for 35 runs in three overs. The SRH camp must be sad with his performance.
Kolkata Knight Riders
HITS
Robin Uthappa– He stood tall yet again. He started sloe scoring his first 23 runs in 24 balls. Later he accelerated and went in to score 41 off 30. He still have the Purple cap and broadened the gap with Maxwell. A good innings in a chase, to sum up.
Yusuf Pathan– One man Show! He just went Berkserk today. It was an absolute carnage from Pathan. He was silent for last 4 years and struggling so much. He scored the first 50 for KKR in 65 matches he played for them. It was also the fastest IPL 50 and also for KKR. He hammered every Sunriser bowler amd even not spared Dale Steyn whom he hit for 26 runs in an over. He was dropped in the very first ball and later went to score 72 off 22 balls!
Sunil Narine– He does his job in every match. He was economical as usual like in all other matches. Giving only 19 runs in his quota of 4 overs he satisfied his captain once again. Only thing to bother is that he didn’t got any wicket today as the SRH batsmen played him cautiously.
