Kings X11 Punjab and Delhi Daredevils will meet each other in what seems to the a dead rubber, perhaps the first of the tournament. Both teams have nothing to lose . Kings X11 Punjab will finish on the top, no matter the consequence of the match and Delhi Daredevils will finish at the bottom of the table. Delhi Daredevils have not been able to play as a unit are a much better side than what their performances suggests. Kings X11 have played to their reputation , after they started as favourites, mainly due to their picks in the auction.
High points:
Kings X11 Punjab will depend on their batting unit. Every one seems to click . Be it Sehwag, Vohra or the middle order . Vohra has been outstanding and made his chances count. He was retained but got his chance quite late . Marsh was the Man of the Match in the previous match.
Delhi Daredevils don’t seem to have any plus point but their batsman have performed in bits and pieces. Peterson seemed to be comfortable,Karthik and Duminy have also come good.
Low Points:
The bowling of Kings X11 Punjab seems to be a worry for them. They depended on Sandeep Sharma to pick early wickets but now , he looks a bit ineffective. Teams have made a plan to deal with him. Hendricks has been very expensive . Johnson was not very effective and this has created a bit of problem for the KIngs X11 Punjab but their batting has been compensating for it.
Delhi Daredevils lack a quality bowler who can pick up wickets , after Md. Shami has been a complete failure this season. Imran Tahir has performed well but they miss someone at the start and at the end. The form of Murali Vijay has led them down as the management bught him for a handsome amount and was among the pillars , around whom the Daredevils looked to build on the team.
Team News:
Kings X11 Punjab now has a lot to ponder over their combination . They dropped or rested Maxwell and both Miller and Marsh have played well. Marsh went on to win the Man of the Match award. Now, it depends on them on how they get in Maxwell . Bailey perhaps should be out of 11.They might experiment with the 11, just to give chances to some who have so far been warming the benches.
Delhi Daredevils will also give chances to some on the benches. It will be interesting to see if Saurabh Tiwari gets a game or not. he was the leading six hitter this Ranji season.
