IPL 7: Rajasthan Royals Stumble Against Sunrisers Hyderabad
Once again Sunrisers Hyderabad proved why they are called as the Kings in defending low totals. The Sunrisers attack restricted the Rajasthan Royals for 102 who were in a pursuit of 135 and won the game by 32 runs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was named the Player of the match and with this win, Sunrisers climb to the fifth spot in the IPL table.
Chasing 135 to win, Rajasthan Royals lost their opener Ajinkya Rahane in the very first over and since then there was no turning back for the batsmen. Wickets kept on tumbling for the Royals as their batsmen struggled to score at run a ball.
Once again, it was Bhuvneshwar Kumar who did majority of the damage as he claimed a figures of 4-14 in his 4 overs. He was well backed by his fellow bowlers who kept the Royals batsmen under check.
After putting into bat, it was the same old story for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Skipper Shikhar Dhawan started the things off in a hurry before getting out for a 20 ball 33. That opened the floodgates for the remaining batsmen as the batsmen threw their wickets away. Naman Ojha and KL Rahul got some start but they were done in by the variations of Rajat Bhatia. Somehow the Sunrisers managed to score 134-9 in their 20 overs.
In the midst of all these, Shane Watson accounted for a Hat-Trick, Rajasthan Royals’ second in two matches. Watson took the wicket of Dhawan in the last ball of his first over and came back to scalp Moises Henriques and Karn Sharma off the first two deliveries of his second over.
