IPL: Three Players Who Can Lead Chennai Super Kings After MS Dhoni’s Retirement

The out-of-favour India batsman came out of Dhoni’s shadow in IPL 2016 and led Gujarat Lions (GL) to the playoffs in their first season. The 32-year-old, in total, led GL in 29 matches in which they won 13 and lost 15 matches.

He is a veteran of CSK and has played more matches (188) than Dhoni (184) and will be an automatic candidate to replace Dhoni after he retires. With 5369 runs, he is also the highest run-scorer for Men in Yellow. Presently, Raina is the deputy to Dhoni at CSK.
