Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 is set to begin from today (19th September) with the match between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab. The excitement level of fans, as well as the franchise, is high as Delhi Capitals shared a cool picture of its players.

Taking to Twitter, Delhi Capitals shared the picture of Rishabh Pant, Shikhar Dhawan, and Axer Patel wearing sunglasses to beat the heat of the UAE. They also captioned it,” Anybody asked for cool”.

Delhi Capitals will play the first match of the tournament against Kings XI Punjab on 20 September in Dubai. For this season, they will be eying to lift the maiden IPL trophy after they finished in the third position last year.

Ajinkya Rahane, Ravichandran Ashwin, Alex Carey, Shimron Hetmyer, and Marcus Stoinis are the new member who will join DC for this season.

They already have a decent batting line up with Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw at the top with Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant forming the core of the batting order. The veteran Ajinkya Rahane, who was traded from Rajasthan Royals ahead of the IPL 2020 auction, might have to warm benches in this season.

As the condition in the UAE favors spinner, Axer Patel with off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin will form a lethal bowling attack. Amit Mishra is also a worthy replacement for spin bowling.

Talking about their pace bowling attack, Kagiso Rabada is a vital cog for Delhi while Ishant Sharam, Anrich Nortje, and Mohit Sharma are also successful pacers.

Sunil Gavaskar in a recent interview had said that Delhi Capitals will get benefited from Ricky Ponting’s coaching which will also help while playing for India. The former Australian captain joined the franchise in 2018. He is determined to lead the team to victory.
