Mumbai Indians’ mainstay Kieron Pollard has stated that the Indian Premier League (IPL) grand finale is the next biggest thing after the World Cup finale. The reason being the intensity and pressure during the marquee clash is no less than the World Cup.
Mumbai Indians, who have four IPL titles in their name, have sixth time made it to the IPL finale. On Tuesday (November 10), they will take on Delhi Capitals, who have reached the grand finale for the first time, to add another accolade to their name and to build their supremacy.

In the video posted on the official Twitter handle of Mumbai Indians, Kieron Pollard stated that the name ‘finale’ should not take a toll on players while they should soak in the pressure and treat the marquee clash as a normal match.
“The name of the game is pressure, in a final. Everyone takes that pressure. You want to win and not commit a mistake, but at the end of the day, you have to try to take the finals as a normal game. Just go out there, enjoy yourself and the atmosphere,” said Pollard in a video posted on the official Twitter handle of Mumbai Indians.
IPL Final Biggest Thing After World Cup Final: Kieron Pollard

As the COVID-19 has forced IPL to be scheduled behind closed doors, Kieron Pollard believes that the magnitude of the IPL finale can not be beaten. He even stated that it has importance next to the World Cup in the game of cricket.
“Obviously, no crowds in this final, but enjoy the magnitude of it. It’s is an IPL final, it’s the biggest thing after the World Cup final,” he added.
Indeed, the Indian Premier League is one of the biggest tournaments in cricket. It is a huge-crowd puller as the biggest cricket stars come together to play for their respective franchises. The cash-rich league has given birth to many known names in the cricket world and thus, several nations have prioritised IPL in making plans for their cricketing future.
