The 30-year-old West Indies left-arm pacer Sheldon Cottrell will experience his first IPL season in the upcoming IPL 2020. After winning the bidding war between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals, KXIP bought the pacer for INR 8.50 Crores.
In recent times, Cottrell has earned the limelight for his consistent bowling performances and also for the military salute celebration.
Also, in the match against Ireland, he created history not with the ball but with his bat. He became the first No.11 batsman to finish a game successfully with a sixer.
The pacer has played 25 T20Is and 32 ODIs and picked 34 and 44 wickets respectively. He had also an impressive outing in Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Thus, his bowling attack and powerful hitting at lower order will be a bonus for the KXIP.
