The fulcrum of the Australian top-order David Warner has been proving himself as a Twenty20 league player while giving his best of the performances throughout his past four editions of Indian Premier League (IPL) after parting his ways with Delhi Daredevils in first five seasons

The left-handed batsman has been significant with the bat while dispatching the ball into the stands while providing a cushion to middle-order which any team would cherish to have at the first instance.

Showing the courage as others kept losing their calm, Warner posted 641 runs in this season at an average of 58.27 which include a brilliant century that came against Kolkata Knight Riders before Gautam Gambhir-led side eked out a seven-wicket win through Duckworth-Lewis method in the rain-truncated eliminator on May 17.

While marching into overall numbers, Warner has played 114 T20s in which he has amassed 4,014 runs which included three hundreds and 36 fifties. The New South Wales-born Warner has also claimed 52 catches while having the strike rate of 142.13 when he held the willow in the recent past edition.

Warner is also listed at number second in most number of sixes this season with 26 sixes as his countryman Glenn Maxwell is leading the charts with 26 sixes in 14 matches respectively.

Warner is an obvious choice to go with, Sunrisers would want to retain their star performer, who could lead his team in his own way to bask the glory for the 2018 edition.
