Adam Gilchrist – The former Deccan Chargers and Kings XI Punjab player, Gilchrist is fifth on the list of players with most matches as captain.
He led his side (DC and KXIP) in a total of 74 games in which his team could just register a win in 35 games.
On 39 occasions, the team headed by him ended on the losing side.
He does not have a great record as a captain and has a winning percentage of 47.29%.
However, he has an IPL trophy under him when Deccan Chargers won the tournament in 2009.
Gilchrist played his last IPL game for Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2013.
The game is still famous for him taking a wicket on the first delivery he bowled in his T20 career.

The batsman was caught by Gukreerat Singh, which handed Gilchrist his maiden T20 wicket on the first delivery he bowled.
