MS Dhoni – Unsurprisingly, MS Dhoni tops the list of most matches in IPL as captain.
He led Chennai Super Kings in the first eight editions of IPL from 2008 to 2015.
When the franchise was banned for two years, he went to rising Pune supergiant and also led the side in IPL 2016.
However, he was replaced by Steven Smith for IPL 2017 and Dhoni played under the Australian captain.
He is all set to captain CSK in the coming season of IPL again.
In 143 games as captain, Dhoni has a winning percentage of 58.45% with 83 wins and 59 losses.
