According to Australian all-rounder James Faulkner, Sunrisers Hyderabad have the strongest bowling line-up in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). The Orange Army is currently placed at the second spot of the points table, having won all their games so far.

In Kane Williamson, the side has got a cool and collected skipper and his outstanding work in the field, coupled with fruitful scores has made him an asset.

The Hyderabad-based outfit has got the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan.

All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and highly-impressive pacer Siddarth Kaul strengthen the line-up while Mohammad Nabi and Yusuf Pathan can chip in with few overs in between.

Faulkner rates Sunrisers highly in the bowling department

“I think the strongest one (in term of bowling attack) has to be Sunrisers (Hyderabad). Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been in great form for a couple of IPLs, (so) that will be my number one,” Faulkner said.

“And the wrist spinner, who is the best in the World in T20s?” he said, referring to Rashid Khan, who has been one of the most economical bowlers in this year’s T20 league.

The 27-year-old Faulkner has also rated Mumbai Indians side as the second best when it comes to their bowling pack.

“Mumbai have got two good death bowlers (Jasprit Bumrah and Mustafizur Rahman), they are probably the (number) two (second best),” he said.

Though Mumbai are the three times champions, the side has registered just one win out of four games so far.

James Faulkner feels people have been a bit too hard on Jasprit Bumrah.

“It is very unfair to say he (Bumrah) is out of form. When you start your career, people tend to look at you a bit more. He bowls the hardest overs, he bowls the death overs, in the Indian team as well. Any day where he goes under 40 runs, he has a good day. The media has been harsh on him, they (have) to understand he is bowling the hardest overs,” he maintained.
