The eighth edition of richest tournament in the world Indian Premier League was official commenced on Tuesday as people of India who are glued to their TV sets witnesses the late start forced due to rain at Kolkata’s Salt Lake Stadium. Rain caused a delay to IPL razzmatazz, but, going by early reactions, it would take more than glamour and glitz to lure fans who are heartbroken after 2013 spot-fixing scandal.
The consensus, on Twitter, about IPL 2015 opening ceremony seemed to be boring, pathetic, disappointing night where stars were going through motions. On Tuesdaynight Salt Lake was home to Bollywood stars – Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Anushka Shaarma. It seemed only Hrithik’s perfomance was a saving grace in otherwise dull event which saw Saif and Shahid fumbling and tripping respectively. Even Indian and MI star Rohit Sharma goofed up.
Going by the reactions that Twitter world posted last night, IPL openign ceremony was a big disaster. Let’s hope matches are much better.
Pls RT this if you think that this #IPLOpeningCeremony is a total chutiyapa.
