The salary details of the individuals retained by their respective IPL franchises were revealed on the league’s official website. The details displayed the salaries of the retained individuals and the respective purse deductions for those franchises.
Among the high-profile names were MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina, who had a salary of INR 12.5 crores. The two will be donning the colors of new IPL teams, Pune and Rajkot respectively. India’s test captain Virat Kohli, who also leads the Royal Challengers Bangalore has the highest salary for a retained player with INR 15 crores.
