Gautam Gambhir – The newly appointed captain of Delhi Daredevils, Gambhir has faced 3316 balls in total in a total of 10 editions of IPL he has played till now.
In 148 games, he has scored 4132 runs at an average of 31.54.
Gambhir played first three seasons of IPL for Delhi Daredevils, also leading the side in 2010.
In 2011, he was purchased by Kolkata knight riders for an amount of Rs 11.04 crore and led the side in next seven seasons of IPL.
He also led the side to title victories on two occasions (2012 and 2014).
Before this year’s auction, surprisingly, he wasn’t retained by the franchise and he was purchased by Delhi Daredevils for Rs 2.80 crores.
He will also lead the team in the coming season.
