Indian all-rounder, Irfan Pathan, has been blessed with a baby boy, today. Irfan, himself, revealed about the same as he shared the moment on Twitter –
Is ehsas ko Bayaan karna Mushkil hai…is me Ek behtareen si Kashish hay, blessed with a baby boy ?
— Irfan Pathan (@IrfanPathan) December 20, 2016
Irfan Pathan married Safa Baig earlier this year. The marriage was a low key affair which was attended by only close family members. Irfan is the second cricketer to be blessed with a child as Harbhajan Singh was also blessed with a baby girl earlier this year.
Irfan Pathan, once, was one a permanent member of Indian team but his career was curtailed by injuries which led to a drop in his pace and place in the Indian team. He then moved to domestic cricket and also led Baroda in domestic matches but failed to impress as his bowling speed faced a sudden slump after injuries. He then became a regular absentee in Ranji Trophy as well and opted to play only limited overs cricket. However, he became a regular member of the team this year and played a total of six Ranji games and also led the team in few of the games but could not notch up to that level, at any point in time.
Irfan Pathan was a part of Rising Pune Supergiants in last IPL season but played only four games. He has now been released by the franchise and will again go in the auction.
Irfan last played for the Indian team in the year 2012, in the T20 World Cup held in Sri Lanka. His last Test appearance came eight years back against Soth Africa at Ahmedabad.
Irfan Patan could have been the Kapil Dev which Indian team wanted but regular injuries jeopardised his career. Still, he was quite successful in nine years of his international career and now it’s almost impossible for him to make a comeback in the Indian team.
