IPL 2017: Irfan Pathan Practises In Bengaluru Ahead Of RCB Clash

Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan has hit the headlines when he went unsold in the auction of IPL 10.
However, the talented veteran has found the right team, as Gujarat Lions have opted to sign him for injured Dwayne Bravo earlier on Monday.
The Lions will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore later on April 27, and if reports are to be believed then Pathan has a good chance of breaking into the team right away, as Gujarat Lions looked below par so far this season.
The addition of Irfan into the starting lineup would be a huge boost for Raina, as he is a viable option with both bat and ball. The 32-year old who had a great end to his domestic season has reached Karnataka Institute of Cricket (KIOC) in Bengaluru and practised while Gujarat Lions were yet to land in the city.
He was closely looked by Gujarat Lions’ assistant coach, Sitanshu Kotak, who kept a close eye on the Indian all-rounder in the training session that had lasted for more than two hours.
Having won a lot of fans during his playing days, it did not take long for him to lure many people in the academy just to see his practice.
Pathan could very well get right into the action, as his addition would bring more balance to Gujarat Lions team which has failed miserably in the first half of the season and a decent outing this term in IPL could pave way for national team for Irfan Pathan also, hopefully.
