Indian head coach Ravi Shastri stated that the pink-ball Test match is going to be a historic moment in Indian cricket. Shastri added that the boys are looking forward to it with all the zeal. Meanwhile, Bangladesh skipper Mominul Haque has won the toss and decided to bat first.
It is going to be a maiden pink-ball Test match for both India and Bangladesh. Thus, the excitement is even in both the camps. There is a lot of excitement before the historic Test and it is going to be a jam-packed stadium in Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

“It’s a historic moment in Indian cricket and the boys are looking forward to it. It is something new, it is something that the boys have not played before. It will be a wait and watch game as well,” Ravi Shastri said while talking to Laxman Sivaramakrishnan before the toss.
Bangladesh has won the toss.
On the other hand, the Indian team has not made any changes to their final XI whereas Bangladesh has made two changes to their playing XI.
India (Playing XI): Mayank Agarwal, Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli(c), Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja, Wriddhiman Saha(w), Umesh Yadav, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma.

Bangladesh (Playing XI): Shadman Islam, Imrul Kayes, Mominul Haque(c), Mohammad Mithun, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Liton Das(w), Nayeem Hasan, Abu Jayed, Al-Amin Hossain, Ebadat Hossain.
It would be interesting to note how both teams will adjust to the pink-ball. They haven’t played with it and there will be lessons for both teams. The Indian team seamers will like to take advantage of the new ball and get a few blows in the first session.
Meanwhile, India had won the first Test convincingly by an innings and 135 runs and they would like to continue their domination going. Mayank Agarwal was awarded the Man of the Match for scoring a double century.
