Mayank Agarwal has had a fine start to his career.
This was Agarwal’s second double century and he brought his double ton with a massive six. Consequently, he became the second Indian batsman to reach 200 with a six after Rohit Sharma.
Agarwal added that Virat Kohli always keeps motivating him to get the big scores. The right-hander did exactly that after he got his eye in.
Mayank Agarwal said in the post-match presentation, “I hope the smiles continue for longer and longer. I do practice six-hitting but not during the Tests. It’s a dream come true for me to represent the country. I am very glad for the start that I got. It’s great to have somebody like Virat who can motivate you like that. When I got my first 150, Virat was at the other end and he told me that nothing short of 200 would do. We played three sessions under lights back in Bangalore. Rahul Dravid had arranged that for us. It was a good experience. Looking forward to playing the pink ball Test match”.

Agarwal will look to continue his good form going. The right-hander has shown the right technique and he is ticking the right boxes. The Karnataka batsman had made huge scores in the domestic circuit and he is reaping fruits for the same.
The second Test match between India and Bangladesh will be a Pink Ball affair and will be played in Kolkata from November 22.
