Former New Zealand skipper Stephen Fleming has been in the Indian cricketing frame for quite some time now and has become immensely familiar to Indian cricketers as well, being the coach of the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. In a candid interview, Fleming exclaimed that the excellent performance of the Indian bowlers in the world cup has been quite surprising to him. However, the batting, as he had expected had lived up to its expectations. 

He also exalted the resplendent MS Dhoni for his dynamic leadership and has also praised Rabindra Jadeja’s performance in the world cup, who recently returned from injury and has insinuated that he could also be a dangerous match winning batsman lower down the order. He has also expressed his ecstasy over Mohit Sharma’s consistent bowling in the world cup, and has praised him for being fast and aggressive.

He also mentioned that the Indian bowlers had been bowling at great channels on perfect lengths, thus creating loads of wicket taking opportunities for themselves. When asked about the captain cool’s ability to lead India to consecutive world cup titles, he candidly replied that he is backing his team to win the world cup. However, he also added that it would be a thrilling episode if India meet New Zealand in the world cup final
