Bangladesh batsman Mominul Haque has said he hasn’t set any personal goals for the One-off Test against India, which is scheduled to take place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad from February 9.
“I have no special personal goals; I will try to play as per I played in previous series,” Mominul was quoted as saying by bdcrictime.com.
The Cox’s Bazar-born Mominul made his international debut in November 2012 against the West Indies at Khulna.
“I have nothing to prove myself. I am always trying to improve my skills,” Mominul added.
However, the left-handed batsman Mominul praised Indian skipper for his stellar performances consistently.
“What can I say about him! He is one of the greatest cricketers on earth. If I could have opportunity, I’ll try to talk with him,” Mominul said.
Mominul has played 26 One-Day Internationals, 20 Tests and 6 Twenty20 Internationals for Bangladesh.
He has scored 1,637 runs in 36 Test innings, with four hundreds and 11 fifties at an average of 51.15. His Test career best of 181 came against New Zealand in 2013 at Chittagong.
While bagging eight wickets with his left-arm spin, he has scored 2,240 runs across all three formats.
