The England Cricket Team has finally found something hopeful after the disastrous performance in the World Cup. They went on to win the first two tests against West Indies in their tour to West Indies.

The English Captain, Alastair Cook heaped praises on the teammate James Anderson claiming that Anderson is perhaps the best pacer England have ever produced. Anderson’s stunning bowling spell made way for England to a comprehensive 9 wicket victory over West Indies.

England’s highest wicket taker in tests, Anderson, with 390 wickets, took 3 for 1 in the final morning of the second test on Saturday to take the visitors to victory.

Cook said that it was indeed a brilliant performance from Anderson and that is why, according to him, Anderson stands as the best fast bowler of England till date.

England needed eight wickets on a literally dead wicket. Anderson not only took 3 wickets in no time but also took two catches and also ran out Jason Holder with a sensational direct hit on the stumps.

The influence of the 32-year old seamer made West Indies to collapse from a stage of 202 for the loss of 2 wickets to being bowled out at the score of 307 runs. England required 144 runs to win the game and they did it with nine wickets to spare. Anderson had an impressive figure of 4 for 43 in the second innings of the West Indian batting.

Cook, who struck his second half century in the match, said that they should cherish every moment Anderson bowls for England. He also said that they went on to the field thinking that it would be hard to strike on such a dull surface but Anderson turned the game for the visitors. And they bowled out West Indies quite quickly.

Cook was also pretty much impressed by Anderson’s fielding in the innings and he said that he was surprised to see that Anderson possesses that amount of talent even in fielding sphere of the game.
