The England fast bowler, James Anderson who will be the must-have player for the team during the Ashes Trophy, suffered a Calf injury during the county match. Though the injury isn’t that scary to rule him out for months, he is currently experiencing a lot of pain, as the ball hit on the flesh, which would be tough to handle for quite a few days.

England great James Anderson was forced to leave the field with a calf injury while bowling for Lancashire in their County Championship match against Durham on Tuesday.

Before leaving the ground, James Anderson tried his bit by walking and running on the field for a fair bit of time to continue for his side. However, the calf never allowed him to stay for the team. Certainly, it asked him to stay away for the game.

As far as the International cricket is concerned, James Anderson can possibly be seen playing next for England when they take on Ireland in the four-day Test at Lord’s from July 24 before the Ashes series against Australia.

“Jimmy has been sat with an ice pack on but he seems fine and reasonably jovial,” he added. With any bowler, if they feel something abnormal we would much rather they came off and get assessed rather than take it a step too far.

“He has been very well managed with regards to his bowling loads and his overs and I think that has been managed expertly right throughout the season.”

His 575 wickets from 148 matches in the five-day game place him fourth in the all-time list of Test wicket-takers. The first Ashes Test is scheduled to start at Edgbaston in Birmingham on August 1. Australia holds the Ashes but they have not won a Test series in England since 2001.

Recently, there were also the reports circulated in the media that he would be calling curtains on his career. However,  James Anderson would love to have one more Ashes cap in his career. He still got the quality in his kitty, which would certainly help his side to make things fall in place.
