Windies Cricket team skipper Jason Holder jumped to the top position in the MRF Tyres ICC Test rankings for all-rounders after his excellent double hundred that helped his side beat England by a massive 381-run margin.
Meanwhile, Holder registered 202 runs in the second innings and picked two wickets in the match which saw him rise two places to the top spot overhauling Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan. Jason Holder has been in the scheme of things this week after ICC nominated him the ICC Test team of the year 2018 for his all-round skills.
So far, Holder, who was so far well-known mainly for his bowling skills, finally showed his batting skills. He registered 202 runs as Windies set a target of 628 runs before bowling out England for 77 and 246. Holder also picked the crucial wickets of Joe Root and Keaton Jennings, and all in all, his all-round rating jumped to a career-best 440 points. In addition, he made significant jumps in the batting list as well jumping 25 spots to sit at 33.

Moreover, Shane Dowrich, who played a good hand alongside Jason Holder scoring 116 runs jumped 14 spots to find himself in the 47th place. Shimron Hetmyer’s scores of 81 and 31 helped him rise 11 places to No.40.
On the other hand, from Australia’s inning over Sri Lanka, Marnus Labuschagne made the biggest jump. Labuschagne scored 81 runs which helped him 21 places to No.84, while Travis Head rose 17 places to No.43. Among the bowlers, Pat Cummins leapfrogged as the no 3 bowlers following ten-wicket haul. Jhye Richardson, who made his debut in the first Test against Sri Lanka also made an impressive entry at 80th spot with figures of 5 for 45.
