Virat Kohli’s men have registered the victory in the fifth T20I match against New Zealand by seven runs. With this victory, India has cleaned swept the Kiwis with a scoreline of 5-0. At Bay Oval, the Men in Blue set the target of 164 runs for the Black Caps. At one point, It looked India would lose the match but Jasprit Bumrah’s remarkable spell pull things back for India.
Jasprit Bumrah awarded Man of Match for his three for 12:
Known as the death over’ specialist, Bumrah gave a breakthrough to the team. He lessen the burden of other Team India’s bowlers by bowling brilliantly. The speedster conceded only 12 runs in the fifth T20I match.
In four overs, he picked three wickets at an economy rate of 3. He was the most beneficial player in the series except the third T20I match. For his excellent bowling, he was awarded as the Man of the Match. Post-game, he revealed how he managed to be attacking at the Bay Oval pitch.

“Feeling very good. The match got close at one point but we had the belief that if we can squeeze in one or two good overs, the match can get close. It was windy, I was trying to use the wind and the longer side of the boundary. Very happy with the learnings, different ground dimensions, first time in New Zealand; great result.”
New Zealand’s disappointing loss:
New Zealand surely deserved to win the fifth T20I match against India. Though they didn’t have a good start as New Zealand openers lost their wickets early. Both Ross Taylor and Seifert scored half-centuries but could not lead the team to the finishing point.

In all the T20I matches, the host gave the tough fight to India but they failed to handle the pressure which has led them to lose five consecutive games.
