Jasprit Bumrah, who is currently recovering from the back injury, is optimistic about the coming challenging year-2020. In his tweet, he also counted the learnings he has got from the successful 2019.

In the last two years, pacers have become a crucial part of the Indian national cricket team. Under Indian skipper Virat Kohli and head coach Ravi Shastri, the bowling department has become the strength of the Men in Blue. Especially, after the entry of Jasprit Bumrah in the Indian team.

In 2016, the pacer made the international debut in the shorter format and then went on to gain his place in the Test team. He is now a crucial part of the Test team. Since 2018, he has played 12 Test matches and picked 62 wickets which include 5-five wicket hauls. In the shorter format, he has picked 103 wickets in 58 ODIs and 51 wickets in 42 T20Is.

In 2019, he has missed the home international series after the Caribbean tour because he was detected with a minor stress fracture at the lower back during a radiological screening. He was ruled out of the game ahead of Test series against South Africa.

Now, his name has been included in the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka and three-match ODI series against Australia which is scheduled in January 2020. After four months, he will be seen on the ground with the Indian team.
