The New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham is set to miss the second Test match as well due to a rib injury. He was to get fit for this match but could not recover from that rib strain and is set to miss the second Test as well.
BREAKING : Ishant Sharma’s replacement announced
Earlier, Mark Craig has already been left the team due to an injury, Jeetan Patel has been called as his replacement who will join the team before the Kolkata Test match.
Neesham also missed the first Test match due to rib strain but was to get fit for this game, this is the reason why New Zealand selectors did not announce any replacement for him. Doubts over his participation in the third Test match still looms around.
The 15 days have been woeful for him as Neesham was making a comeback in the Test team after returning from an injury but he is yet to participate any contest till now. This leaves New Zealand wth just 14 players to choose from.
The third Test match is scheduled to be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata where India will take on New Zeland in the penultimate Test match of the series.
