England pacer Jofra Archer’s IPL 2023 for Mumbai Indians (MI) has come to an end. This was after the English basement decided to fly back to the UK in order to continue with his recovery and rehab after his injury. Archer has played only 5 of MI’s 10 matches in IPL 2023 and failed to make an impact.
He took only to wickets in those Matches and considered runs at a rate of 9.5 per overhead goal over 90 miles per hour regularly. He made you for Mumbai in the opening game against Royal Challengers Bangalore but experienced discomfort in his right elbow and also traveled to Belgium to visit a specialist and return back inside 3 weeks.
“Archer has been recovering from right elbow surgery. However, pushing through the discomfort whilst recently playing, hoping it will settle, has proven challenging. Therefore, it has been agreed for him to return to the UK for a period of rest and rehabilitation to give him the best opportunity for a full recovery,” the ECB statement read.

He then played in four of the last 5 games for MI, but will not take part in the upcoming game against RCB at the Wankhede Stadium or in the last 3 League encounters.
Chris Jordan Replaces Jofra Archer In Mumbai Indians
Archer has been replaced at Mumbai Indians by his Sussex and England team-mate Chris Jordan. He went unsold at December’s auction but has previously played for Chennai Super Kings, Punjab Kings, RCB and Sunrisers Hyderabad, and joins for a fee of INR 2 crores.

Jordan, who made his IPL debut in 2016, has featured in 28 IPL matches so far and has 27 wickets to his name.
