Australian media, it seems, just cannot do without taking a dig at India skipper Virat Kohli. Speaking before the final Test at Dharamsala, Kohli had wished them luck for using his name to sell their news and the Australia media houses have proved him absolutely right. It does not matter whether Kohli is playing or not, they have made a habit of targeting him.
Right from the first match of the series, the Aussie media has not left even a single chance to target the Indian star. Ever since he slammed Steve Smith for breaking the protocols on DRS referrals in the second innings of the Bengaluru Test, the Australian media has come down heavily on Kohli.
From accusing Kohli of hitting match official with the bottle of orange Gatorade to comparing him with animals and the US president Donald Trump, the journalists from Down Under have consistently hurled personal attacks towards the 28-year old batsman.
Kohli could not play the final Test due to a shoulder injury and the Australian media was not getting the right stuff to sell their news. But as soon as the India skipper came out in his white flannels for the interview after the hosts defeated the visitors by 8 wickets to win the match and the series, the opportunist Aussie media plunged into action.
Posting a picture of the India skipper coming out for the chat with the commentator, Fox Sports tweeted: John Terry, Wayne Rooney and….

The tweet was a clear reference to those two incidents when John Terry and Wayne Rooney had lifted the Champions League and EFL Cup trophies in their full kits even though they did not play the match.
But it is very unlikely that Kohli will pay any heed to this dig. The Australia media is known for their notoriety and we are quite sure that the Indian star will be busy with his teammates celebrating the series win.
