The last couple of months have been like a fairytale for the young Kagiso Rabada. After taking a hattrick in his debut game, Rabada has been among the wickets and at such an early juncture in his career; he has impressed one and all with his aggression, control and sheer hostility.
He was pivotal in South Africa winning its first bilateral ODI series in India. Against some reputed Indian batsmen, Rabada kept his calm and bowled exceptionally well.
The 20 year old has admitted that he is interested to feature in the IPL. It is obvious that after such a dominant performance in India, the IPL owners will be interested in securing his services for their respective sides.
“My mind is not on IPL now. My mind was on winning this series but it will be great to play in the IPL. It’s something I want to do in the future,” he admitted. “I don’t know when it will come but I am not too involved in that,” said Rabada, when asked about his interest in featuring in the cash rich IPL.
Rabada though, said that his primary goal now was to make his test debut. “I am going to keep preparing well and making sure I do the right things to make sure I can even get better.
“I don’t know what my limit is so I am always pushing myself, by asking questions as well. What I have learnt is that international cricket is great competition, especially when you come to India.
“The intensity is very high and you really need to be on the button every ball. I’ve enjoyed it a lot. I’ve learnt to have a high intensity at all times,” said Rabada.
