The 58-year-old former India skipper Kapil Dev stated the fast bowler S Sreesanth, who was the part of an inaugural 2007 Twenty20 World Cup winning team must come up with enough evidence to support his claims after the latter termed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) biased towards him.
“If he (Sreesanth) thinks that way (BCCI has been biased), then he has to give enough reasons to back his claim,” Dev was quoted as saying by PTI.

Following the standoff, adamant in approach, BCCI decided not to remove ‘life ban’, as the fighting continued between the Board and a player (Sreesanth) which has further witnessed the former players have had recorded their personal opinions from the time-to-time.
“These are Sreesanth’s personal views. I cannot comment much on his personal views,” Dev maintained.
The 34-year-old Sreesanth was suspended after being alleged termed to get involved in the match-fixing way back in 2013 during the widely-recognised edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
On November 3, Sreesanth decided to plead before the Supreme Court, as he is looking forward to being set free after the BCCI has imposed the life ban some four years back.

The then Rajasthan Royals fast bowler Sreesanth was suspended and eventually banned by the BCCI’s disciplinary committee in September 2013.
Sreesanth was handed a life ban alongside Ankeet Chavan which later on, further resulted in the disbanding of the IPL outfits in the form of Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings, for the ninth and tenth editions, respectively.
It’s pertinent to mention, Sreesanth’s career has been jeopardised after his alleged involvement in the spot-fixing saga which further saw him fighting multiple cases thereon in a court.

The former all-rounder Kapil Dev wanted Sreesanth to cite the sufficient reasons after the latter claimed he was being ill-treated by the country’s Cricket Board.
Earlier this year, Sreesanth was acquitted by the Kerala’s High Court by lifting the life-ban to bring a sigh of relief for the Kerala-based right-arm fast bowler.
Interestingly, the allegation levelled over the governing body by Sreesanth was discarded by Neeraj Kumar, who’s the chief of the Anti-Corruption and Security Unit for BCCI.

Moreover, Dev revealed the eleven players are supposed to take the field even everyone has that urge to represent the country in one way or another.
“Every person feels he should be playing for the country but at the end of the day, only eleven players are going to play,” Dev concluded.
