India international Kedar Jadhav and Ambati Rayudu will join the India A and India B squad respectively for the ongoing quadrangular series involving Australia A and South Africa A.

Meanwhile, Jadhav will replace Siddesh Lad in India A squad. He returns to action for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury on the opening day of IPL 2018.

On the other hand, Ambati Rayudu comes in for Ricky Bhui. The selectors have release Bhui and Lad to allow them to play for India Blue and India Red respectively in the Duleep Trophy.

Kedar Jadhav was a regular in India’s ODI team until suffering a grade 2 hamstring tear. The injury ruled him out of the remainder of the IPL season. As a result, also left him out of contention for India’s tours of Ireland and England.

Ambati Rayudu was originally part of India’s ODI squad for the England tour. However, failed to make it after failing a fitness test at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.

He last played for India as part of a second-string team that toured Zimbabwe in 2016. Rayudu had forced his way back with a prolific IPL season in which he scored 602 runs at an average of 43.00 and a strike rate of 149.75.

Meanwhile, the first four games were abandoned without a ball being played. Since then, BCCI has shifted the rest of the games to Alur and Bengaluru. India A takes on Australia A tomorrow at Bengaluru while India B faces South Africa B at Alur.

The inclusion of Ambati Rayudu and Kedar Jadhav will strengthen both the squads who aims to lift the trophy.

The final will be on August 29 (Wednesday) at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
