A goof up from a certain newspaper has not gone down too well with former England skipper Kevin Pietersen. Publishing a story on South African player Alviro Petersen, who was recently charged by Cricket South Africa for being involved in match-fixing, the daily published a picture of the English player instead of Alviro.
The South Africa-born English cricketer took no prisoner and expressed his disappointment on Twitter for the unacceptable mistake. Posting a screenshot of the article, he enquired about the newspaper. The 36-year old tweeted:“Hmmmmmm!!!! Not quite sure I’m all that happy with my image being used under this headline!!! What paper is this??????”

Meanwhile, the South African player has denied his involvement in match-fixing. The 35-year-old was charged with multiple breaches of his Cricket South Africa anti-corruption code and was provisionally barred from any involvement with the game.
His lawyer said:“Alviro has never fixed a match, agreed to fix a match or contrived to fix a match.
“He has never sought, accepted, agreed to accept or received any bribe or other reward to fix or contrive to fix a match. To ensure for betting or other corrupt purposes the occurrence of a particular incident in a match or, for that matter, for any other unethical purpose.”
