Khald Mahmud Wants to Lift the BPL Title Again: Khaled Mahmud
With the Bangladesh Premier League set to kick off in less than a month’s time, the franchises have decorated and designed their teams drafting cricketers of their choice in the Player Draft held on Sunday at the Raddison Blu. Arguably the greatest ever Bangladeshi cricketer Shakib Al Hasan of the Dhaka Dynamites attended the Players Drafts with other big names like Khaled Mahmud Shujon, head coach of During the Player’s Drafts Dhaka Dynamites and Chief Executive Officer Obaid Nizam.
Pacer Abu Hider Rony and spinner Saqlain Sajib were brought in the team during the player’s draft. Former legendary cricketers like Kumar Sangakkara, Shane Watson, SHahid Afridi, Mohammad Amir and Kevon Cooper are enlisted in the Dhaka Dynamites’ team. Following the end of the player’s draft, the former Bangladesh skipper said that was hoping to get a hold on the trophy yet again.
“We want to be champion again. When you pick up a team to chase the title, you have to keep some options in hand. One or two good performers might be missed somehow in the midst of the tournament. It is necessary to retain some alternatives. We have taken a number of foreign cricketers in that regard,” said Mahmud.
The CEO of Dhaka Dynamites also expressed his hopes to clinch the title once more.
