Kings XI Punjab Will Achieve What It hasn’t been able to over the last 12 Years: Anil Kumble

Indian legend Anil Kumble has got the new post in the franchise earlier this month. He will be the Director of Cricket Operations and Head Coach of KXIP. The team will hope to perform better in the next IPL season and will fight to win the title. Kumble was also present at the event and assures that KXIP will win the title next year.

“I hope that this partnership will grow from strength to strength, and with me coming on board to Kings XI, we will be able to achieve what Kings XI hasn’t been able to over the last 12 years,” said Kumble at the event in New Delhi.

“Silverware would be fantastic in the cupboard. I think this is what it was waiting for all these 12 years.”

Anil Kumble was selected after Mike Hesson resigned from the post of the Head Coach of KXIP to apply for the post of Indian team’s Head Coach. However, he lost the battle to become the Head Coach of Indian national cricket team after Ravi Shastri retained that position.
