Indian cricketer KL Rahul celebrated his 28th birthday on 18th of April (Saturday). However, the player could not throw a big fat party because of the lockdown due to coronavirus. But he took the time to talk with fans as he went live with his teammate Mayank Agarwal. Both the players have some personal chit-chat which reminded Rahul of the bizarre “Koffee With Karan” show.
Mayank and Rahul share a great bond together. They both play together for the Karnataka team in domestic tournaments and also play for the Indian Premier League Franchise Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).
After having some chat, Mayank asked Rahul for a rapid-fire round, and this took Rahul to the memory lane when he entered in great trouble with Hardik Pandya after attending the TV Show “Koffee With Karan”. And the wicket-keeper batsman has not forgotten the memory of that incident. Thus he replied in this way-
“You know rapid-fire always burns me, right? I get burnt in the fire,” when Mayank Agarwal asked him for a fun rapid-fire session.
KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya was lashed out by fans on their remarks on women. Former Indian cricketers Harbhajan Singh and Sunil Gavaskar also slammed the duo for their controversial comments. Well, it has been a year to that incident, but nobody has forgotten about that celebrity chat-show.
A few days back, former Indian cricketer, Yuvraj Singh, while having a live chat with Rohit Sharma, has said that if Rahul and Hardik were in the Indian team during his time, it wouldn’t have happened.
Although now both the youngsters have a respectable place in the team. Rahul has come out as the best replacement for MS Dhoni. He donned the gloves in the last tour of New Zealand and also perfectly did the job of a finisher in ODIs. In the T20I series, he was the opening partner of Rohit Sharma as Dhawan was injured. He went on to become the highest scorer in the series. And, now, he has become a vital cog for the team in winning the game.
