ToggleKM Asif, the Chennai Super Kings pacer, had become the first player to have breached the bio-secure bubble during the IPL 2020. Thereafter, the right-arm pacer underwent a six-day long quarantine period and is back training with the three-team Chennai-based franchise.
It was learned that the breach took place after KM Asif misplaced the key of his hotel room. After the mishap, he went to the reception to get a replacement key, which happened to be a breach of the protocols as the reception doesn’t come inside CSK’s bubble.

Unintentional Mistake From KM Asif
KM Asif was born and brought up in Kerala and has been playing age-group cricket for Kerala. In the 13th edition of the league, the young gun of 27 years of age will represent Chennai Super Kings.
“It was an unintentional mistake but rules had to be followed. He underwent six days of quarantine and has now resumed practice with the team,” an IPL source was quoted as saying in The Indian Express.
KM Asif made his IPL debut back in 2018 and has only featured in two matches, picking up three wickets. Due to the presence of some star-studded names in pace bowling, the pacer hasn’t been able to break into the playing eleven for the last two seasons. His average is 25 and the best figure is 2/43.

Teams will pay a heavy price in case a player breaches the bio-secure bubble for the second time. A second breach will result in a six-day quarantine period along with one-match suspension after quarantine. In case of a third breach, the team will play maximum price as the player will be removed from the tournament and a replacement won’t be allowed either.
Ambati Rayudu And Dwayne Bravo Fit To Play Again
The Super Kings did not have the best of campaigns in the IPL 2020 so far. The team, led by MS Dhoni, started with a five-wicket win over the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the tournament opener in Abu Dhabi with Ambati Rayudu and Faf du Plessis’ contributing with the fifties.
However, CSK lost to the Delhi Capitals (DC) and the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in consecutive matches and are placed at the bottom of the points table. Injury concerns to mainstay Ambati Rayudu and West Indies’ all-rounder Dwayne Bravo have not done any good to their campaign.

Their next match is against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Friday, October 2nd at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Going into the game, CSK have something to cheer after their CEO Kashi Viswanathan said that both Ambati Rayudu and Dwayne Bravo are fit to play for them.
CSK are already without veterans batsman Suresh Raina and off-spinner Harbhajan Singh both of whom opted out despite being named in the preliminary squad. To add to their woes batsman Rituraj Gaikwad and pacer Deepak Chahar tested positive for corona-virus. But they played after testing negative.
