4. Rohit Sharma:
Rohit Sharma is one of the best players in the world right now but few people know that he had to fight against all the odds to realise his dream of playing for the country. Born to Purnima and Gurunath Sharma, Rohit grew up in a middle-class family, whose financial were very unstable.
There is an inspirational childhood story of the Indian batsman. His father lost his job after the transport company he worked for was closed down. But fortunately Rohit got a scholarship from Swami Vivekananda International School. His childhood coach Dinesh Lad was also working there. One day while walking on the streets, they spotted an expensive car.
“Sir, main yeh gaadi khareedoonga (Sir, I will buy this car),” said an amazed Rohit Sharma. But his coach asked him to just concentrate on cricket and little did he know that his young student will make it a reality with his sheer hard work.
