3. Ajinkya Rahane:
Rahane is one more example, who fought against all odds to become a cricketer. The Mumbai batsman comes from a lower middle-class family and could not afford proper coaching as a child. His father took him to a small coaching camp with a matting wicket in Dombivili. He finally began training under a coach when he was 17 years old. Former Indian cricketer Pravin Amre started guiding Rahane and now his pupil has become one of the batting mainstays of the Indian team. Rahane was also a black belt in Karate.
