2. Mahendra Singh Dhoni
The most decorated captain of India, MS Dhoni became a cricketer by chance. Hailing from Ranchi, Dhoni was a badminton and football player during his childhood days. He was the goalkeeper for his school team. But his career took a huge turn when one fine day he was asked to play for a local club as a wicket keeper due to some reasons. He impressed one and all with his wicketkeeping skills and his cricket team coach convinced him to make the shift from football to cricket. Ever since that incident there was no looking back as Dhoni went on to become one of the finest cricketers of this generation.
